Some noob questions

2004 Dodge Ram 2500 8th VIN "C" quad cab 8ft bed.

What turbo came with this model? if the other one is bigger, will I benefit by upgrading to it? Goal is no power adders, mileage and tow a light load once a blue moon.

How to get the turbo to whistle louder? I heard a 5" exhaust but is that from turbo back or what?

You have the 341 trucks 04.5 and above have the 351, not worth the time and effort to swap in my opinion.
For what you are looking for a 62/65/12, and I dislike that small of a turbo on a CR. A turbo swap with nothing else changed isn't going to net you anything, so I wouldn't bother.

By far the best and cheapest way is to add a programmer/Downloader. If you run them with sense and up your timing you can see slight mileage gains.

As far as turbo noise you can do some things on the intake side, gut the tube, remove the silencer, but on the exhaust side your not going to hear much turbo noise.

No.

Ring is in the intake of the turbo.
