Are they good chips? I have an 06 dodge 4x4 3/4 ton I have a Dr. Preformance will I have any prolbems with this chip if I put it on my Truck.. Will the chip burn up my computer?

I think you are asking about a Smarty Computer chip??

The Smarty is not a "Chip" it is a Downloader / Programmer. It is hooked to your OBDII port and reprograms your ECM and then unhooked.

The Smarty Jr and Sr are both very safe to use if you understand how they work. A lot depends on what you are trying to do and how you use your truck. More info on what you are trying to do will help get better responses.

 

Smarty is the way to go PERIOD....

 

Smarty's a great programmer, if your Dr. Performance is just a pressure box, it will stack, or work well with the Smarty.

The Smarty will not hurt your truck's computer/ecm, but it may tear up your transmission if an auto, or your clutch, if standard trans.(If your truck does not have certain upgrades. The higher settings on the Smarty will provide more hp/tq than a stock truck can handle.)

You need to go to the "User CP", upper left corner, click on it, and fill out your "signature" with your trucks information, then we can be of more useful assistance to you.

 

I am just trying to get better fuel milage My Dr Performance plugs to my fuel Rail under the hood on my truck, I also have a fine tune dial mounted close to the stering wheel under the dash..


( Would changing out the Injectors do anything different to my performance of my truck.)

We need all the info about your truck and where & how you drive. the more info the better. Most people including me have gotten better mileage with the Smarty. As long as you take it easy!!

 

I dont drive my truck hard. Not trying to tear anything up. I drive it when I go out of town or on vacation. I have a half ton I drove to and from work. ( is the Smarty better than the Bully Dog And Why? If I change out the exaust is that better than factory..

 

What year is your truck? I'm not going to bash bully dog, it works well for some, but "" on my truck

The Jr has fewer features and fewer levels than the Sr.

 

six gun does the same thing your Dr. Perf. already does and the Dr. P does it better. Avoid Banks.

The smarty JR is your best bet for your stated purpose.
