Hello all. I am going to be buying a smarty or similar programmer for my 05 ctd auto. Before Dropping $685 for one is there anyone in western Washington that may have one I can try?

I didn't think you could swap them from truck to truck. Once you download the reprogram you lose you stock settings. then when you have to bring your truck to a dealer they will see the change. I have seen other post with this problem. I may be wrong. trust me I voted for Bush. So I have been wrong once or twice

You CAN swap them, but the original truck has to reset to stock before truck 2 can upload. I have loaned mine out 3 times already.....
