Had the Smarty on for a month now. Very happy with Smarty. My question is, the timing rattle is starting to get to me. Don't hear it with my foot planted reaching for the rad, but cruising easy it's a constant timing knock. Yup I do know the difference between injector/valve and timing knock. I'm on level 3 stock torque management, safe for a stock auto. Have tried levels 1-3-5 and I'm not happy with the rattle. Ran levels 2&4 but pyro got a little toasty. Anyone suggest or know of another download that's not so aggressive on timing.

what's timing knock sound like?

 

I'm unaware of any difference in engine sounds with or restored to stock with my Smarty. I've only run #1 and 3#. Smoke is a concern with me as I have to scan the sideview mirrors before having fun with the go pedal. I'm carrying a ton on my back all the time,so my truck is under constant load.
