I read some of the other threads on the Smarty and think I know the answer to this but I want to make sure

If you have one of the Smarty SW's loaded on your truck, say #3 of the stock torque management file, and you want to "update" your Smarty to the mild or moderate torque management files, do you need to set your truck back to stock before updating the Smarty or will it still recognize your VIN if you leave the truck set at SW #3 then d/l a different torque management software from your updated Smarty?

Nope, no need / reason to go back to stock before an update to Smarty.

Thanks for the response. That is a different, and more convenient method than what I was used to with the Triple Dog.

 

lol well thats good to know...i was saying yes cause i also just switched from BDDL...that is much much easier...
