Line of Fire Tailgate Lite

Put it on the other day, pretty easy install & it really enhances the brake & turn signals. What do you guys think??

I think I saw the one with the back up lights on Recon's web site. I found a source for the standard ones, different name, for just under $40.

It's called line of fire white lightning. It is available in 48" or 60" . I have one on my truck. I think their pretty bad looking. I called to order one for my ford and they will be on back order until Dec. 1. Check out reconaccessories.com that's where I got mine. A+ customer service. Thinking of ordering a set of the big rig lights to mount under my doors. The line of fire tailgate bar hooks up w/ a traditional 4 prong trailer plug. If you get one w/ reverse lights you have to tap into your reverse lights on the seven prong plug and connect it yourself. To get rid of the turnsignals just cut the turnsignal wire on the plug. Problem solved.

Its unclear on the recon site. Is the reverse light a completely different set up then the brake light one or is it all in the same kit(reverse/brakelight)???

Is there a white LED between every red LED???

If it is like that then they get my Big Dan intelligence award

Thanks

Stupid question, but where is the plug located where you hook up the line of fire? By the trailer hitch? Also, is the turn signal wire marked on the harness? I want to get one and run it without the turn signals.

BigDan: Not quite sure if you can make it not blink along with the turn signals since it hooks up to the trailer harness.

Totallyrad: No this one does not have the reverse lights just parking, brake & turn signals. They do sell them with the reverse lights incorporated into the strip but it cost a little more than this one.

RAMFREAK26: It manufactured by RECON & yes they do have the one with the reverse lights.

Patriot2500: The trailer harness on my truck was located rite beside my hitch. It's just a rubber type plug that was zip tied to my hitch.

Here's a link to the one that I purchased from E-Bay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/60-LI...spagenameZWDVW

And here is the Line of Fire & Ice (has the reverse light option): http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/60-LI...spagenameZWD1V

Hope this helps

I just got mine last week from stylin concepts about 60.00. Plugs in flat trailer harness. I wired mine for white to stay on any time red ones are on, it looks pretty good. Still does all functions, just both sets of lights on.

Talking 35" 05'

I didn't use the 3M tape that was supplied with the actual light. I purchased aftermarket double sided tape & applied it to the light bar. I also fastened it to the truck with 3 stainless steel screws so it wouldn't come off while driving.

I have had mine on for about 3 months ranging weather from 92 and 100% humidity to 28 degrees, hail, rain, etc. It seems to be on there for good !
