I'm going to shoot Bob another PM and email; it seems there's enough of us who are not happy with the new tunes and want our old stuff back. Cool?

But if your trucks are running good then why are you wanting to up grade the software? Are you just looking for something more? Are you just never satisfied?

I am not sure just which software version I have but the truck runs great with lots of the black smoke which I like... So no reason for me to up grade.

 

Well, for me I am not rtying to set any kind of records, I just know my truck performed better all the way around with the oldbeta 4.4. So once you have something like that and can't seem to duplicate it with anything new, you want what ya had. I would be more than satisfied if I could get that tune back on my truck.

Well, that's easy to answer. The Smarty trend has been w/ each new software the tuning has gotten even better, so why wouldn't we try the latest and greatest??? The problem here was in some cases some people were not warned that they wouldn't be able to go back.

They updated the chrysler software and when that happened, the software that the 4.4 was based off of was no longer valid. if I try to load 4.4 now, it telss me "unknown software". I think that is correct. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong. so once I tried 4.11 I gave up the beta 4.4 by default.

 

I did not know that if you try the 4.11 you lose the ability to run the 4.4 again. I love the 4.4, I think it is the stongest tune for my truck and keeps my egt's low. I was just considering trying the 4.11 to see how it compared..maybe a little less low end fueling than the 4.4

 

I think you can. this was an 03/04 issue only I believe.
