Smarty software version question

When I loaded up the Smarty on my truck last night I believe the sofware version was 4.00A or something like that. I looked on the MADS Electronics website and noticed that there are a couple of other versions (4.somethings) available for download. What's the difference/benefit of using these versions of Smarty versus what it came with?

Smarty S06 Ver. 4.14A, Data: R.11S
REVO software
years: 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007

- This is the latest version of the standard smarty software....it added lots of adjustability (Tq Mgmt, Rail Pressure, Timing,....)....i'd say upgrade to this and try it out.....it's the latest and good stuff....takes some time to understand all the options...and go to http://www.madselectronics.com/downl...structions.pdf
so you understand what values are what....

Smarty S06 Ver. 4.14A, Data: R.55T
REVO-TNT software
years: 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007

- This is the high performance version of the smarty software.....w stock trans / fuel / turbo...you need to be paying attention as this one can break parts fast.....wait until you get your "Next Up" items completed...at least the transmission...

So there's a difference in similar settings on the different versions of software? What I mean, is if I'm running SW 2 or 3 on my stock software, would versions with Data: R.55T and R.11S run those setting differently? Or is it only different if I get in and mess around the the timing and rail pressure (which I won't be doing - yet)? Thanks.

Yes there is a differece between the revo and the revo TNT all settings being equal....the TNT is much more powerful....the Revo Tops out in level 9 at approx 170HP....the Revo TNT tops out in level 9 at approx 230hp and has more agressive fueling...

Start with the Revo, learn the adjustments, start low and work your way up the levels / settings, build up the truck and progress to the TnT....smart and less costly way to play the game...in no time you'll be broke, but it'll be worth it! :-)

The Smarty is already loaded with Revo (and it came with the Revo instructions) - but I didn't know if the Revo (non-TNT) software would be any different than the software that's already on it (since it says Revo). Good to know about the TNT software! Thanks. I'll wait until the tranny gets built before I proceed with that.

Does the rail pressure adjustability of the revo cancel out or eliminate the need for an mp-8 stack? In other words, would and older version of smarty with mp-8 have more or less power than the revo smarty alone?

I Run My Smarty On Stock Rail Pressure And My Ez On Level Three.. I Beleive The Smarty Is Harder On Your Injectors Than The Ez But On The Dyno They Made Almost Exactly The Same Horsepower With The Smarty On Level Three (after Market Injectors) And No Ez Versus The Stack Together... I Beleive The Mp-8 Is Very Close To The Ez....

I think minor tweaks on timing if i recall correctly....but you may have a early release, depending upon when yours shipped?? Wont hurt to go to the latest on the webpage....it's been around since may or so....works good...but wont be night and day diff from your current.

The MP-8's going to win on adjustability....and i think max pressure available (assuming you can support it fuel wise) is greater than the smarty revo max pressure level...

You cant drive around daily with Smarty Revo on FP = 4 (Wild)....if you want your injectors to survive....so the adjustability of the mp-8 would be nice
