In a few weeks I'm going to put my 06 Cummins on the dyno. I was wondering what setting can i take it to safely with the stock auto trans. I have 5" exhaust, intake and gauges... and the revo program in it now.. any proven settings? should i put the TNT download in it?? Any comments will be appreciated.. Thanks guys!

 

I dynoed mine on SW9 on stock trans, no issues. 427hp, obviously not getting all the power available to the ground. This was before TNT or Revo came out, but if your not having issues with it, load up TNT SW9, and see what she'll do!!

 

Well dynoed it today.. #9 Revo and just my 5" exhaust, stock auto... 387hp.. not too bad i guess..

 

Wow thats low. That should be, at minimum, ~425hp if not higher.

Mine, bone stock other than Smarty (stock intake, exhaust, trans, everything) did 427 on an earlier tune. I was expecting 425 and woulda been disappointed with anything less

 

I was thining the same thing. Mine posted 397hp on SW #6 with older pre TNT Revo tune. Somthing is not right either with the dyno or your turck.

I agree with the others. That sounds low. I dyno'd 466 and later 467 on a different dyno with Smarty only. (old version). The 466 was on the stock lift pump and the 467 was with the Walbro....(but I think that was irrelevant in this case).

Your stock trans should be fine for a dyno run, imo. Mine was stock on the above runs.

Well maybe the old versions made more power.. i even loaded the truck down with the dyno brake before i let it rip...

 

are you guys pulling in Drive or O/D... I think alot of HP numbers get mixed up when guys pull in different gears... My understanding is that; Drive will get you higher HP numbers, but O/D will get you better TQ numbers...

Also alot of guys seem to see more power on level 7 then level 9

 

i tried in both drive and od... i think next time i should turn the wastegate off, i was only getting 30psi of boost.... or should i try a boost fooler??
