I have a S06 Smarty and was gonna load it on a buddies 03 truck tonight, first thing i did was check for codes, no codes so i tried to connect to truck and the Smarty says "Wrong Vin #", tried a few times and got the same thing, so i went back to my truck to see if it worked on mine... worked fine and said Stock SW was present! So went back to his and got the same thing "Wrong Vin #".


Help Bob.... Help!!!
P.S i have his vin # from the truck

Does your S06 have the correct software version that will work on the '03?

Mikey i have the TNT down loaded in it, it should, i havent had any trouble loading it in a 04, and a 04.5.

 

My bad, the REVO program now supports all year models.

His truck may be one of those with the incorrect VIN programmed in the ECM from the factory.

No, he needs to have the dealer correct the vin.

 

The dealership can program the VIN into the ECM and I believe Bob can send a recovery program to do the same.

Mikey i thought so, i thought Bob had recovery files! I wont be able to get back with him tor a few days so maybe Bob will see this and be able to hook me up with a recovery file!

on a lot of 2003 trucks chrysler left off the last 4 digits of the vin number

anyone with a drb3 can fix the vin number .

 

I just went to the dealer and told them I was playing with a scan tool and I noticed the vin was wrong. 20 min latter it was done, no charge it was back in my hands. Downloaded beta 4.4 and will never change it!
