Smarty Revo Vs. 4.11

Smarty Revo Vs. 4.11
Do they produce the same power overall? Or does the Revo go beyond what the 4.11 edition can do?
I understand you can adjust more settings with the revo, but if set at max settings which program produces more power? Or are they the same?
How much power increase can one achieve with the Revo? 130HP or 170HP or 230HP or more?

well ill give you my take...
The revo seems to be a very comparable tune to what i was running with the 4.11(seat of my pants test) i played around with the settings a lil on the revo and it seemed to work best timing 2,rail 1(mp8 helping),TQ management 3(mod tq man), no wastegate. then tried 7,8,9 power settings of course nine working the best and i feel that the revo has the 4.11 power but allows you to pick those four options while connecting to your ride instead of taking 45 mins to change a tune from your computer.
I have also ran beta 4.3, 4.2, and my original tune that the smarty came with and the betas definitly seem stronger and it was a while ago but my original tune had to be pretty close to the revo (i think more).
But this is seat of pants test. This weekend old smokey and i will be testing 4.2, the revo, and hopefully the TNT non R tune and we will post results.(BOB?)

I would like to know too. I'm currently running the TNT non R and may switch over to the Revo and see how much of a difference is between the two. I'm guessing the TNT will be a lot stronger. I know with the 3.12 level 7 is no match to the TNT level 7.

From initial feelings, The 4.11 feels more powerful for an equivalent REVO setup. For example the SW7, MildTM 4.11 felt more powerful from mid to high rpms than REVO SW7 TM2 Time2 RP2.
The REVO seems to hold back until higher RPMs, and requires more throttle with the result of less smoke. When you really punch it with the REVO, then you end up with more smoke than 4.11.
I would say that with low throttle, the REVO is smoother throughout the rpms, but 4.11 hit harder in the mid range and pulled better up top with moderate throttle, where as you need nearly full throttle for REVO. If that makes any sense.
I have run 4.11 SW5 ModTM as well and compared to REVO SW5 TM3 Time2 RP2, it was a lot more touchy and also more powerful only lower in the rpms thanks to the ModTM. REVO still has that throttle hesitation when you gas it and it seems to only want to deliver higher up in the powerband.
Anyone else notice this?
I may be reverting back to 4.11 MildTM SW7 as that gave me my best mostly city MPG of 16.

Anyone else notice that it feels like you lose a little of the throttle control you had with 4.11?
Its like in 4.11 I could modulate the throttle better then with REVO where it is almost an on/off switch. Off = smooth, linear, zero smoke On = Power and Clouds of smoke. With 4.11 I had a lot more control in between.

I compared my 4.11 Mod Torque on #7 To Level #9 REVO
TQ 2
RP 1

max boost now seen is 36# with the trailer where as previously it was 38-39# psi. I'll do some tinkering still on stock sticks. added rail pressure did smooth our some rpm rough spots that i had previously. power is smooth, smoke is thicker than before
Revo #9

36# too smoky for the heavy trailer, i'll play with it there, i Total RP on the gauge isnt much more than stock at WOT it just comes up alot sooner

with my 305/555 36-37 psi no higher than my old setup with 4.11 the rail pressure helps bottom end power and makes the truck accelerate much smoother and harder still top end is no different. i love the adjustability. SW#7 and SW#9 seem to be identicle for me 7 pulls feels like it pulls harder than the 9 for me. maybe im smoking crack. about 300 miles tonight with the loaded trailer on hills ect changed the tune every 100 miles. theres my feed back. so far. mileage is about the same the rp helps bottom end snap... if i up RP or torque management the smoke is considerably higher than on the old 4.11. light to moderate haze nothing horrible but notible i did feel as thoguh i had a little better throttle control with the old 4.11 for minimizing smoke. i'll dropteh RP tonight and see what happens

I dynoed the TNT non R vs the 4.11 aftermarket turbo stock injector sw both on #9 and I will say that my truck dynoed more hp with the 4.11. Of course this could be do to the fact that I didn't understand the timing settings. Now that I have figured the timing out I will hit the dyno next week again. Seems to take awhile to get the twins going but when it happens it feels stronger than the 4.11.

we discussed this subject this am. And we will get it ironed out.
The REVOlution software need to be dyno tuned by Marco here in the states then it will be 100%, we are not there yet.
We have 3 softwares at this time to clear up the confusion
Revo is the standand software.
Revo TNT is the 230hp tune , no 4k rpms and mo tranny disable.
Revo TNT/R is the full meal deal.
I know that everyone will want (my guess) the Revo TNT tune.
more soon.....................

Let me add something else. Like Bob said, you have to play with all of the settings. I did and I found that happy place. I will be upgrading to 105 inj and the BD race twins soon. I believe my current DDP 50 and tow twins are keeping me from 600+. I rock a solid 580 currently, so i know I am not getting all of the TNT potential. You need the supporting mods to get the full potential out of the TNT tunes. Thanks Bob, for getting back to the forum. TNT rocks. Low smoke super street friendly and 20+mpg. SW9, TQ4, RP3, TM3.(my happy place)
