smarty questions

I have the smarty installed on my 2006 and love it. so does my brother, on his 2006. first problem is, I cannot find a cure for the uneraseable code that the smarty seems to be causing. I believe its p0602, keeps popping the airbag, parking brake, and abs light. anybody have any clues?

second problem is we tried loading my smarty into my buddies 2006, after it was completely removed from my truck, and the smarty keeps showing "unknown software error." We tried a couple of times, and then put it back in my truck, and it works fine. my truck has a build date of 5/2006, my pals truck is 1/2006. really confused here

The P0602 was erasable for most people, but it just kept coming back so maybe it only seemed like it wasn't clearing?

They've since fixed the issue anyway and if you update your Smarty with the latest version from Mads Electronics site it won't throw that P0602 code any more. You will also have a more recent "stock" version for your truck which includes the DC updates and stuff your buddy probably already has.

It does not matter that yours is newer then has. He has a newer version software than you. Did he recently have his pickup at the dealer?

Nope the P0602 didn't get fixed on alot of trucks w/ new software. I know of three. It's not a big deal though, it means nothing and it goes away as soon as you go back to stock.

Three is not "a lot". That would be the minority not the majority.

It fixed it on mine and most other people's, but the point was that if he updates his Smarty odds are the P0602 will be gone.

my earlier programs would set the abs light until the truck moved and went away. it was cured with the newer updated programs.

working on the download. I am terrible with computers, so I am stuggling greatly with this. my truck is almost always on "8" with the smarty, so returning the truck back to stock is not an option. the smarty works so well, just can't stand to drive the truck without it. especially running the 37's all the time. just a real pooch without it
