smarty question

Am I hurting anything running the smarty on #9 all the time? I realize my foot depends on alot of that but I was curious about too much timing. I have version 4.11. I run the ez on 1 which I realize is pressure. I have the fuel system upgraded, idles at 25 doesnt drop below 17 when u get on it. I run the truck very easy, but I just want the power there if I need to dust somebody! Thanks.

I have been running mine on level 9 for almost 2 years and over 45K miles....towing or not. My truck runs better than ever so if there are any ill effects I haven't seen them. MP8 on 100 percent too.

I don't see gauges listed in your sig although I would assume you have them ? 100% on the MP-8 is pretty high for DD.

I agree 100% The MP-8 at full bore is pertty nasty and causes injector rattle on my truck. I usually only add pressure when racing or need that extra "umph" over TNT

I have found that you can add some timing over TNT without rattle. I have a Roktech and it still does not get timing rattle.

Agreed. I was at a sled pull this last weekend and only turned up the MP-8 to 60% and hit 29K on the rail This was also running the TNT/R and I do have duals which helped I'm sure. I've ran on 100% before but, like you only at the track.

Kinda looks like to me that the only thing that will be hurting is your clutch. Or do you have a stronger clutch that is not posted in your sig?

Ty, I have Di Pricol EGT, Boost, FP, RP, and Trans temp gauges. Cruising the highway at 70-75MPH I see around 19-20K RP, 700 degrees EGT, 6-7lbs of boost.

Original and Stock turbo, CP3, and injectors, 99K miles currently. So far, I have never had a mechanical failure since I got the truck. (now i've prob jinxed myself...)

I know I probably shouldn't run the MP8 at 100 percent, but it just seems to run so well.......I do it anyway. Im saving up for Flux's now....and Don will let me know the condition of the stock injectors. I think the trouble free longevity is directly linked to the 2 micron fuel filter, FWIW.

I just don't like messing with the settings. I'd rather adjust them with my right foot.

I am on my second factory clutch right now. This one is holding up great so far but when it starts acting up I am going to put a southbend on it.
