I am wanting to run just the smarty with 4.4 beta on my truck. My question is do I need a quad boost fooler or does the smarty boost fool?

 

The Smarty will boost fool for you. You do need to put a boost elbow on your turbo though to get more than the 23-24 psi your wastegate is set for. Try not to get much over 30 though. sw3 or sw5 with beta 4.4 is going to spool that stock turbo stupid fast.

Stupid fast is an understatement.

 

I keep my waste gate set to 34psi (borderline) and have seen it spike to 37psi. Been good for me but it isn't suggested. 35psi is about its limit, anything after that is excess heat.

4.4 is silly fun. After I get my AD150 installed, that should be more than enough power for me (but I have been researching turbos, studs, valve springs, and injectors).

Next up for me is a fuel pump and a cfm intake....and i should also be good to go powerwise for at least 5 minutes before i start saving for the turbo,......it is definately an addiction....i just need a 2nd and 3rd job to get to where i'm going...for some reason, the wife doesnt view the truck perfromance parts ahead of feeding the kids and paying the morgage and we also have a dirtbike habit.....

 

Yeah no kidding... so how long after the tranny replacement before you pop for injectors and etc??

 

soulezoo- shane is a crazy sob! he is lucky his tranny lasted this long but talked to him the other day and it is slipping at will now! TRANNY TIME SHANE!!!!!!!!!! You know i got your back, i am next for a tranny. Was talking to Jim yesterday and going to start sending money to him to get one built and a converter. i can't stand it anymore and want to open up the smarty a bit and not have to worry so much.

but ya, sticks and a bigger bottom turbo for him is coming soon after he gets done kissin momma's hind end and gets the house finished with the remodel and expansion then he can come down to Albuquerque and build me a shop!

no he sold the a5k and is using a s400 from nathan. wants to replace the stocker i think and go bigger! he is crazy! LOL
