Have a Smarty S-06 I've been running for awhile. Had to take truck in for warranty work and I'm assuming they must have re-flashed the computer(smarty was out) and now when I try to load it it says "unknown software". The version I have is 4.06 and from what I'm reading I need to update. The only thing is how far must I update? I like the version I have now b/c if needed I can make the rice burner behind me vanish! Is there any compromise?

 

That must be the new fangled smarty block....

 

They did reflash... your 4.06 is now in the archives and not usable due to the new flash... something about the flash itself

You have to go to MADS website and download the new revo software and go from there.

 

Thanks for the info, thats what I was figuring. Just hoping to try and save the higher smoke versions!

 

Don't worry, you'll like the revo alot. Some people like the old software better, but IMO the smarty with revo is a lot nicer programmer. Alot more options with it, and just all around better, smoother power. I think the reason some people may not like it as much is because you gotta find which tune works best for your truck
