Smarty POD - 00 thru 99 power levels?

Smarty 00 thru 99 power levels
What exactly does this mean?

Level 00 is stock,
Level 10 is 30hp added?
Level 15 is 45hp?
Level 20 is 60hp?
.
etc.
.
Level 99 170hp?

No let's say you load catcher 3-60hp then with the pod function you can go say 50% you will only be running 30hp of a 60hp program. It works best for modded trucks you can leave it on catcher 9 but not run the full 170hp until that powerstroke pulls up next too ya

But its more than that... Its not %age of added power, but %age of total power..

So on SJR SW3 I dyno'd 407 rwhp at PoD 99%. PoD 50 would give me approc 203 rwhp, PoD 00 would only be idle power... etc.

From what I gather is that is effects the Throttle Position Sensor output... The TPS runs 0-99. But PoD 50 takes the TPS 99 and makes is TPS 50, or PoD 80 would be TPS 80.. Make sense?

As you go down in PoD power levels you can really feel how less sensitive the pedal is.

Hmm, didn't know it worked with the tps.

Have you ever tried running sw3 at 50% all the time, or enough to show a mileage mpg gains on the highway/city?

I am not 100% sure it works with the TPS.. but based on what I see with TPS and LOD data it looks like it..

I have run SW1 at PoD 50 and 60 a fair amount. I like it around town as the throttle is smoother, but I have never seen a mpg gain from it.

Thanks, just what I wanting to know.

So, basically the base stock HP from the engine stays the same.

Its just the power levels that are adjustable from 0-170hp on top of the base stock hp.

For some reason I thought the pod would detune the engine below stock hp when using these power levels.

I realize S06 does 1/2 power, which I read is undrivable.

Thanks, I thought 203hp was low, but I've never dynoed my 06 stock truck, I've read they are around 250 on a dynojet.

Thats great to know, though suprised no mpg gain.

Hmm, I might have to upgrade my s06 to a pod version then. Would be nice to detune the engine, especially if someone else had to drive it. That has never happened in 10yrs though. doh.
