Smarty And Overhead

Anyone know how the SMARTY on different levels affects the overhead mpg?

If its anything like what the Predator does, it screws it up completely and entirely unpredictably. Mine says I'm getting 37 miles to the gallon. I dont think I'd get that falling from a plane while idling.

I don't know. Only use the overhead for the compass and temperature. When I was stock the guess-o-meter was over 2mpg off.

mine reads close enough with the smarty so i can see if i am doing good or bad in the economy department. it is usually within ±0.5L/100km at the end of my tank

Mine is way off with the Smarty. I've never paid much attention to the Lie-Meter, so I dont know how much different it is between levels. Just an example is that Stock the overhead read somewhere around 17, with Smarty, its in the low 20's. Actuals have never been close to either one.

My overhead has been off as much as 4 MPG and always reads high, the only thing consistent is mileage goes up when it goes up and mileage goes down when it goes down but I can't rely on the actual numbers.

mine has been 2.9-3.1 mpg low from the overhead since the flux 3s and stg 2 pump about two months ago about 7000 miles hand calculated is usually 19.5-20.3 for the last six tanks

Mine consistantly reads 22 - 24, but hand calculated is always 15.5 - 16.5. Keep in mind that the more "fooling" you're doing, the more it will be off...i.e. stacking chips, etc. --Eric
