I find this whole smoke issue odd, at least with my truck. No matter what Smarty SW I’m running, I’ve never had the smoke you guys talk about? I might have some grey haze, but that is it. I’m running Mod tq sw#5 right now and still have no smoke issues. Are you guys with the smoke running an aftermarket turbo or injectors? Makes me wonder why my truck doesn’t smoke?

Sid

Your truck should be smoking like a freight train, Sid.

mine doesnt really smoke much either. I am running the stock smarty software though. It will smoke some going uphill when it drops into overdrive at 50mph and on SW#9. However it doesnt black out intersections or put up a smoke screen like others have stated. Was kinda dissapointed in that fact it was one of the thinks I was looking forward too!

It usually smokes more when you bog it down, but in the higher rpms it'll turn more gray and hazy. I stay on # 5 and it smokes plenty, especially down low when I get on it!

mine will completely black out an intersection if i am on level 8. gets worse with the quad on. even with my turbo, it never really cleans up completely. at 47psi, there is still a pretty thick grey haze.

Easier to create a smoke screen with a manual tranny. Lot's of throttle at low rpms combined with low boost equals smoke.

That's for sure!

I loaded SW#8 yesterday and turned up the Quad box.
When I picked up my tree-hugging dance partner on the way to class, she asked why I was driving so gently...

XLR8R: "because I downloaded new software into the on-board ECM"

Ms. Salsa: "what does that do?"

XLR8R: "it causes the engine to fuel harder and make more power"

Ms. Salsa: "so why are you driving like it's broken???"

XLR8R: "so I don't smoke out your neighbors!" (cruising through posh uptown 'hood)

Ms. Salsa: "Hmm - I don't see any... what does it do?"

XLR8R: "OK - watch your rearview mirror" as I floor it at 3mph in 2nd - turndown at cab rear dumps a roiling black fog bank over shrubbery, pedestrians, two crews of leaf-blowing day workers and an innocent Corgi.

Ms. Salsa: "

XLR8R: "
