The gray truck only has the Smarty Jr, the black truck has a modded CP3, JR, and EZ. The gray truck smokes nothing like the black one.

Gale has nothing to do with it.

Some of us do everything we can to minimize the smoke because we've "been there, done that" and had enough. We also realize you can make good power with almost no smoke. A bunch of smoke on a near-stock diesel is the equivalent of a 6" exhaust tip on a 17 second ricer.

i agree and you proved that w/ the 1/4 video, but for the 12v'ers much different story (unless im wrong ive yet to see a high hp 12v that didnt roll the coal)

You bet, I think Jr is great for a stock truck with the super low EGTs.

I agree. Different story when you're talking high HP 12V's. My '93 still wouldn't smoke at all when stock though.

wow... your funny.... smoke is purly for show... its not the best for power, speed, towing.. pretty much everything but blacking out the street... .I really think its silly to smoke on a economy mode... defeats the purpose...

I think it is highly odd that the Smarty smokes on an economy TIMING ONLY tune nonetheless...how are we getting smoke just from advancing the timing....hmmmmmm?

I don't know about the Jr, but Smarty Sr still adds some power on the "economy" tune. It's not just added timing.
