Smarty Jr with Goerend Towing Heavy ?

Ive searched with no luck. Can someone tell me what the consensus is for towing heavy with a built Goerend ? I tow 16500lbs. I have used SW3 and it seems fine. No slipping. I use Tow Haul. Default Tq. TM on 2 (i think lol). Ideas/suggestions ?

Not exactly sure what you're asking. Are you asking in terms of the transmission being able to handle the additional power? Or how many times you can do this? Maybe you should get input from Goerend as well.

I talked to Dave. He said just dont run to much TQ. I was just curious what others thought about SW3 with a built transmission. He also told me if your gonna tow in OD (not 16000lbs) keep tue rpm over 1500 for oiling of the od unit. Chreers

Do you have a billet input and an upgraded flexplate. If so Tq2 and back the timing down one notch if you are not running stock. I pull on catcher 7 all the time.... It all depends on your right foot.

Yup billet input and flex plate. This is a jr. I take it somewhat easy with it especially when it shifts. It can be pretty hard with 16-17 lbs on lol. Thanks

Just ease out of it when it shifts to fourth, then ease back in it and let the TC lock around 50-55 mph. Works like a charm. You can run whatever software you want with the Jr. Just use TM2. It will be fine.

I have abused the heck out my Goerend's, towing and racing at high HP without a hiccup.

just keep the torque management lower as said above and you'll be fine. Also monitor the fluid temps.
