What boost are you running? You might have a boost leak. That seems awfully high for a Smarty Jr.

Increasing your timing might help. EGTs seems really high for just a Smarty. Are your injectors in good shape? What are all the gauges reading (RP, FP, etc.)? What are your EGTs on each level and stock? If they're high no matter what, I would guess that some of the injectors are stuck open.

Only have ran level 2 and 3. Rp is normal. Max of 21k. Egt is fine till I stump on it. Then I see the big numbers. I don't think its injectors cause she runs clean. No white smoke or extremely sooty exhaust. Idles fine aswell. I bought the truck used as a repo. Maybe he put bigger injectors without increasing turbo size. Or maybe my probe is bad

I would say your last two options would be why your EGTs are high. Your probe should be right above the flange on the exhaust manifold, back just a hair. You could pull an injector and check the nozzles. If they truck already had an aftermarket lift pump when you got it, I would say you have larger injectors.

2005 3500 4x4 running smarty jr. S/B intake with CFM horn. Stock otherwise. 32 lbs max boost have got 1250 EGT pulling hill with loaded toyhauler. Probably larger injectors.

probably right, I put smarty back to stock and still hit 1800's with added timing. Something isnt adding up. I dont think there is a hung injector cause it idles great with no white smoke or anything. Guess the only way to correct it would be bigger turbo or try a mechanical egt gauge instead.

I would try another EGT gauge first!

What shape is your air filter in?

What kind of boost/EGT's do you hit in 100% stock mode?

But use caution, 1800° and the added timing will make molten of pistons in short order.
