if stock sticks will support that much with driveability, i got nothing to worry about, just hoping for high 400's.

Luken?

If it was me I would go with the smarty, so many options, code reader speedo/abs recalibration, nine diferent programs and you can update via internet, its a very complete programmer IMHO.

Of course after all this you can save a little and buy injectors too.

Hey Guys,

To be honest I don't really know. I have never had a set of injectors. Hopefully in the next month or so I will have a set. I have heard nothing but excellent things about DonM and F1 Diesel so I'll get a set from him.

Personally I didn't have great success with the Smarty. I have seen the Smarty work well on other trucks. If it was life or death and I had to choose... I would go for injectors given the choices but as you probably know, I'm a little biased

I've learned a few things and had some struggles with my truck in the past few months so I'm going a different route for next season.

After talking to a few folks I think a big set of flux's matched with a Floor-It cp3 mod is the way to go... Like always I'll let you all know how it goes!

Since your goal is high 400's, read some threads on both and try to make a decision on what you think is best.

The pro of a downloader is you can change it back to stock when needed.

The pro to injectors is it is simple to do and there is NO chance in screwing up an ECM. If you want stock power, control it with your right foot.

Hope that helps

Lucas

Thumbs up

it does. with bigger sticks, i will probably drain the rail, and no desire to upgrade the cp3 at this point, so that sort of rules out the injectors.

i have had a smarty for a few days on loan(thanks bob). i loved it and didnt have any issues other than the clutch(which i expected).

i am not concerned with the warranty, lift pump, turbo, and clutch took care of that.

thanks everyone, i will call lary tomorrow and get my smarty.

what is your plan? (if you dont wanna talk about it on the open forum thats fine too) Are you not going to stack? Are you just gonna use A down loader,or no downloader at all and use something like a TST only?..Oh ya, I caint wait till you get your truck rolling down the track with your new set up!

Right now I still have the sps66 on... Hopefully that will change before race season... It all depends on how much $$ I have laying around. LOL I've gotta buy a big diamond ring soon.
