not for sure but i may be getting a smarty. depends how hot the edge runs on my new engine. (break it in first) anyways i went to mads site and theres like 6 units for our truck. i basically want lower egts and better fuel mileage. maybe 50-80 HP in timing for towing....which 1?

 

I would say Smarty Jr. J-06. I have the Sr. and it is overkill for what I do. To fully take advantage of the Sr. U will need upgrades. I think the Jr. would be perfect for a stock truck. Later.

 

Sallyman it seems like you like to push the envelope for more power. If you want a different turbo and or large injectors (50hp injectors are fine with smarty JR) then I would get the Smarty SR. Your EGTS will be lower and you will have more usable power with the JR. A friend of mine just went from the Juice with ATT to a JR. He isn't far from you either. He's at Cudworth. The POD is nice so you can set it exactly where you want it. His Att was 2psi high on the boost reading as well.

 

did he like his juice attitude? or does he like smarty jr better? i dont want serious power. as you can read this post I would like to ditch/sell my juice attitude and get a smarty for BETTER FUEL mileage and a lil more help towing. no im not sled pulling or showing off. just a lil xtra grunt if u know what i mean. i also aint going to do this until my new engine is broken in.

 

Buddy of mine has a '06 with HOT unlock...did 593 with DDP 90's and a SPS62, I did 585hp with Smarty TNT with SPS 62 and DDP 90's....but he is WAY HOTTER than I have EVER been.

I have been hounding him on getting a Smarty, but after seeing him make those numbers...we agreed that he should keep the EDGE and we have a friendly competition between us to see which program is king in the end.

 

I'd go SMARTY Sr. You don't have to set it to 'kill', plus I feel there's more of a demand for used ones, if you decide to sell in the future.

I love my SMARTY... the option to go big is always there if you choose to.
