You need to download and install the USB to Serial driver for the Smarty. The file and instructions to install the driver is on the Mads site. The driver zip is CDM_2.00.00.zip. The instructions are the file SmartyUSBdriver.

Post if you still have questions.

Right click on the zip file and unzip it into a new directory. Make sure you know the directory name. Then when you plug the Smarty into the USB port you should get prompted with New Hardware Found wizard. It will ask if Windows can search for software. Click NO, Not at this time, then click next.
Then click install from specifically location and click next. Then click search for best drivers in these locations, click include this location in search, then use browse button to find the directory that you unzipped the file into and click next. It may prompt with message not windows certified or something like that and give you option to install anyway. Click install anyway. It should install the driver and get to finish button.

If it does this then you can start the download program and it should work. If it does not do this then maybe other non compatible driver already loaded and needs to be removed first.

Ok, never mind my trying to remember the sequence above. It can get a little confusing sometimes.

Not to take this off topic but I have a downloading question. I have the latest mild torque management download (S06V411BD211A47.7z) on the truck in level 5. I just downloaded the mod torque management (S06V411BD311A47.7z) to the smarty last night without putting the truck back to stock.

Will I have any issues with loading the moderate torque management level 5 on to the truck?
