Got it loaded onto the smarty, but haven't loaded it onto the truck yet, will shortly. Did you get 4.10c 2.11b? I seen alot of them were version 2.10b. Either way, I'm so ready to get on the road!!! I think I'm gonna try sw 5, but 7 is on my mind....

Well I have 2.11b, and I must say I'm very impressed. I miss the smoke, but the power is very controllable. Level 7 actually feels safe on my truck (with the stock clutch and 75,000 miles) and I never saw temps pass 1,000*. Smoke is very much reduced and almost "just a puff". It is not near as touchy on takeoff and engaging the pedal is smooth as can be. I have also noticed much easier shifts and clutch transition. The power is there, but is not so aggressive on takeoff, mid range pulls hard (in a very nice way ) and top end holds strong. It definitly has a different sound, in the exhaust and the engine compartment, sounds stronger. My truck experienced a little lag when I held it at lower throttle, like 30-35mph in 5th gear(with the regular smarty catcher sw 7); that has pretty much gone away, it has more of a pull that just feels MUCH more comfortable. Mileage seems the same, which has been 18-20mpg depending on my foot, but its too soon to note any changes. So far I am very happy with the results. Good job Marco and Bob.

Man, I asked Bob for the latest release over a week ago! I think he's always jumping to another thread just before I ask for something.

I am happy with D:210B for daily driving for now, but I want the new race version or I may have to go back to one of the betas to fulfil the need for speed and 50psi boost.

I dunno the difference, but I likey. Probably just a little closer version, maybe with a fix for the gear shift indicator, don't get me lying now. This is my first time updating in awhile, but I no longer have the p0602 code that I always had. It definitely is a step ahead for Smarty IMO, the race tune will be all the beast the torque freaks need!!!

Here is a quote from Marco from a different thread about the 2.11b. It sounds like the 2.11b is the refined version of 2.10 that is supposed to be released soon. I like the 2.10 beta. I have tried SW1, 3, and 5. The only issue I have is that On 5, there is too much valve clatter, especially at WOT. It was way more than I had ever experienced. I stopped there and went back to 3.

I guess I need to expand in order to make you understand.

What means the word "beta"? We use that term in order to define an almost definitive software released for testing. You bet, "beta testing"...

Now, I think that concept got a little bit misunderstood lately. Since I have relased the "beta versions" 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4 which were meant to test the high Hp stuff, a lot of guys seem to think that whatever is called " Beta " = High Hp.

That is not!

This latest " beta 4.10 " is a refined version of the normal "grocery getter / daily driver" softwares ! With "refined" I mean to say, less smoke, linear throttle, less egt's & & & .. "Beta" just because it was relased for testing pruposes. In fact, with the help of the feed back from the beta testers, I've just finished the definitive version x11y which will be published most likely tomorrow. ( BTW Beta 4.10 = 2.11B original injectors with WG disable, mild TM )

OK, back to my original point. The "beta 4.2 ,4.3 and 4.4" make at LEAST 60 hp more than the "beta 4.10".

It appears to me that the crazy lary is THE high power thinghy everybody has to compete with. Well, you found out how that software compares to
Smarty's stock software. NOT the high Hp version...

Thanks!

Marco

I can say the 210 is pretty dang refined. Only noticed a little more timing rattle on level 5 than 3, but not annoying. And even lugging the snot of the engine produces very little smoke.
Can't get much better than this!! Good job Marco!

I agree, the smoke levels have been GREATLY reduced, but I have not detected any timing rattle, everything sounds pretty good, but then again the stacks are pretty loud too!
