Smarty again!!!
Smarty again!!!
So this afternoon I reinstalled the Smarty Sr; after having the Edge Attitude w/Juice on the truck for the past 5 yrs and using the Smarty intermittently (a friend with an '04 and I share the Smarty) I figured I would give the Smarty another shot as he is running a TST w/110hp sticks and the Smarty was just sitting under the jump seat - all I can say is HOLY CRAP, what a difference between the two.
I run the Edge on level 3 all the time and use level 3 on the Smarty - the difference between the two is amazing...I swear the Smarty on level 3 pulls harder than the Edge on level 5.
Its been about 2 years since I had the Smarty installed and the truck feels like a different vehicle with it.
I installed the Smarty and leave the Edge installed also, just set it on 0.
Just wanted to share some 'good' news.

good to hear. I tell everyone I know that the smarty pulls harder on 3 than edge on 5. They don't believe me until we put their edge on zero and load my smarty.
Their smile could not be kicked off their faces. I LOVE IT!

I get a fair amount of timing rattle on SW3 - I understand that the odd settings have added timing, just seems like alot of rattle compared to the even numbers. Is this what everyone is experiencing? Any drawbacks to tooooo much timing?
Not sure what program your running on your Smarty, but you can download upgraded programming off of mads website. There's definately programming on there that excedes the Edge on lvl 3.
If your running the standard Smarty programming, the timing shouldn't be an issue.
