Don't feel bad, I don't understand all the differences either. I'll be watching this thread, because after I get a new clutch, I'll be buying a Smarty.

Hey midnight train welcome to dtr, lots to be learned here reguarding the smarty. There is a couple of downloads for the smarty. I suggest you start with the basic version which would be the REVO. Its has the most to offer for basically stock trucks, it has adjustable power levels from 30 hp to 170hp as well as other options which you can read up on from the mads smarty site. Next up would be the TNT it is designed to work best with built trucks and offers adjustable power from 100hp up to 230hp if you have the mods to support it. The beta's are the testing versions which do work well, although power levels are not quite as adjustable and around 170hp, these must be requested from Bob Wagner, both other versions are avaible on the mads site.

the tnt/r is the 4000rpm, vin# specific, software and you definitely don't want that until you get the supporting mods. All downloads are free at www.madselectronics.com (accept for the betas and the tnt/r, in which case you need to contact bob wagner.)I agree that you should start w/ the basic Revo software. welcome to dtr and there is a TON of info on here about smarty, so i hope you're prepared to do a lot of reading

I will agree the betas are not adjustable, but they are capable of more than 170hp with the right mods.

sweet thanks guys... and what do you mean by supporting mods like turbos, a airdog/FASS systems, and injectors stuff like that?

also i heard that some people that switch to smarty from a different programmers have problem but then other guys with same setup do not have any problems any info on this.. because i do not want to mess up a great running truck just for some more power

Well you can hold me to this: if you have a problem with a Smarty Bob and Marco will satisfy you in the end. They always have. There are a few instances some ppl had a problem but they get resolved.

Yes the supporting mods are the mods that make it possible for you to fully utilize the programs potential, anything to make it breath better and squirt better as cool as possible.
