SHORT Rear Lift Blocks (1-2")

OK, I've tried searching and can't find anything so I'm gonna break this off of the 3" front spacer thread. I just ordered a 2" leveling kit for the front, but I think I want to do a small block in the rear as well, to make sure I'm not sky-pointing while towing. 1" - 1.5" would be ideal, and 2" would be OK. The problem is, every set I've seen is for 2.5" wide springs. These 3rd Gens have 3" wide springs. So, anyone have a good source for short blocks? Jackit.com has blocks for 3rd Gens, but in 4" which is too darn tall.

I used Explorer Pro Comp billet aluminium blocks on the rear of my truck. 1.5 tall 2.5 wide. I had the same concerns as you, but they work out just fine.

Not really looking for a full kit, just some blocks and u-bolts. Will the kit for a '00 2500/3500 work? The blocks are only 2.5" wide, but I'm also concerned that the u-bolts for the kit are only 3.5" instead of the 4" that I need.

why dont you call the manufactuer, tell them you had the full kit, and they got damaged, so you need only the rears. Im sure they will sell parts at a time...

Yup, I guess I'm gonna have to make some phone calls. TopGunCustomz doesn't have any 1-2" blocks listed, but they might make some and I just need to call. I was just hoping JCWhitney had something because I am making an order anyway and the cost of them will let me use my $30 off coupon!

4x4not let us know what you find out! I got my leveling kit and shocks waiting to be installed, along with tires on order. Does raising the rear cause any vibrations? Are any angled shims supposed to be used? I had a leveling kit on my old truck, but would also like to raise the rear a little on this one. Keep us posted 4x4not!

Thanks,
Nick

here's what i did.

i bought a 2 in block kit from superlift. it comes with the 4 inch lift kit, but u can buy it seperately. the part number is 4125. it comes with u-bolts for the hemi rear end(3.5" tubes) and the diesel rear end(4" axles tubes)

since i wanted only a 1" or so lift, i removed 2 of the factory shimes and added the 2 in block. each shime is 3/8" thick so removing 2 yields a 1 1/4" in lift.

hope this helps
