Shimming the carrier bearing

I gust put in a Rough Country lift with 4" block in the back and was wondering if someone knows how much to shim down the carrier bearing?

I would start with 1/2",you will more likely need 3/4" but 1/2" is a good starting point. You will probably need longer bolts.

I got the longer bolts today and will make some shim this week. Is a 1" to much?

I'm assuming it's a 6" lift if it's 4" in the rear. with my 6" superlift, I had to use their 3" that came with the lift, plus another 1" shim... with only the 3".. I was burning up carrier bearings... then I got Lazar II traction bars and I'm all good now
