Which setting?

Just purchased a Smarty JR. and was just wondering what you guys thought I should run for a setting. The truck is 40 percent towing and 60 percent cruising down the road. The company that I bought it from said not to run it above 40hp, but after reading all the threads I know that is not correct. So any help is very greatfull to me. Also what kind of power reactions am I going to see between 40 to 100hp? thanks!!

Download the POD (power on demand) software and put it on SW 3, if your towing and want to turn it down a tad it takes just a few seconds

Okay, 1st off you NEED gauges so you can see what's going on. Your clutch will slip since it's stock. Before anyone will advise you on what settings, again you need to see what the egt's are before you hurt your motor with any programmer.

Shouldn't really need gauges with a Smarty Jr.. Apparently they run cooler (EGT) than a stock motor. There is also no boost fooling so no need for boost gauge.

Ditto on the clutch slipage. I run mine on the 40 setting becasue I can't afford the $1300 for the southbend clutch set up just yet. It only slips when you really romp it but one slips leads to the next etc.
