Screaming Intake
I have the AFE stage 1 intake...Id like to find one that screams...any suggestions...AFE Stage 2 is noisy, but is there anything louder?!?!? (that you can buy not make)
Haven't heard of any intakes that make a substantial amount more noise than the AFE. It is all speculative as far as noise goes. What's loud to one, may not be much at all to another. A lot of other things play into it as far as additional mods too. Might get expensive, but probably just have to try some for yourself, or go to a dyno day or something ans try someone else's out for a test drive.

The mac air intake screams. It has a nice polished aluminium tube with a big six inch filter. It made my afe stage 1 sound mild. I put an amsoil 6080 filter on it just for better filtration and it still screams. The filter that came with it was oiled and actually seemed to filter air pretty good. I would look at it before you buy.
I can tell you that the noisiest one out there is probably the AEM Bruteforce with that metal tube and the silencer ring remove. It was so loud I removed it and bought the afe stage 2 w/ proguard. It is still a little too loud without the silencer ring. But doable.

If iwould have seen the *****'s before I bought the S&B on my truck. Id definately be on. That thing screams. And for the money, you cannot beat it. Even if it cost 150 to make itd be worth every dime.
I have the AEM Workhorse HD intake and it's silly loud. I have also deleted the silencer ring. This setup is super loud. I hear the turbo over the exhaust at all RPMs. The aluminum intake tube really carries the sound. Whether it's an AEM or *****'s intake, if the intake has a metal or aluminum tube, it will sound like an F16 especially without the silencer ring.
My K&N screams pretty loud with just the stock turbo. There are times when i am driving around with my trailer, if i go up a slight incline and build about 20PSI boost, people actually roll up their windows or plug their ears as i pass them. It gives me warm and fuzzy's when i see that.

just install a set of twins, and put a conical air filter directly onto the top turbo compressor inlet piping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
