Not an S&B but changing my K&N Intake Air Filter to a new Amsoil Nanofiber 4090 prety much same size as K&N. Ordered mine today for $47 due to be a preferrend customer. Regular price is $61. Supposed to flow better and last as long and no oiling again.

I need to measure the one in my S&B and see if AFE has one in the Dry Flow line that will fit it.

I fanally ordered a amsoil 4075 dry filter and it fits pretty well in s&b box, had to add a short peice of stianless pipe to reach the intake tube since the filter flange is shorter than the s&b's but works well so if you want to switch to a dry filter this one works and is 60.00 and is supposed to work better than the oiled ones.

I just ordered an amsoil 4070 filter...the flange is longer than the 4075 so hopefully it will reach the intake tube without having to do any other mods...but we will see...

I just ordered a spare S&B element so I have a new clean one to put in when it's time to clean the existing one...

Cleaning them is really pretty simple, it's just a pain when you gotta let it dry before you can oil it, so far I have no reason to go to a dry element, ask me in a coup[le years though!

RedRacer44, please let us know if the 4070 filter works with the S&B box with no modifications. If so I will be placing my order for one.

Fisherguy...how much was the filter from S&B? I almost ordered one myself but wanted to try something new so I went with the AMSOIL dry filter.

I'll let ya guys know how it works out. I talked to a couple of guys on here who've done the switch and said the filter fit fine...

I ordered from a local "hi performance" shop in the area, the same price as they list at the S&B site but without the shipping charge. The shop is ordering it with their next 'bulk order'.

I'm thinking the oiled filters will trap more of the fine dust than the dry ones, and having 2 of them makes life easier...

Picking it up today actually...took forever for it to come in for some reason. My amsoil dealer said it was very weird that it took so long to come in...

Anyhow...I'm meeting with him today to pick it up...
