It should be different

I thought that too but if you look at them closely you will notice a small difference. The one that you pulled out fo the truck should have an O-Ring and an O-ring chanel. The new one should not have an O-ring and the O-ring channel should be missing on one side. I hope that this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions.

mine had a flat spot on it. it is re painted so it is not like ther is a section that is just ground off. post in some pics if you can.

if not I would call them. if there is no play in the hole then I don't see how you could advance the timing.

ROKK install

Hey man,

You should be able to install it almost all the way and then move it around (clockwise). This will advance the timing. I actually installed it without really looking at the play, noticed some small amount of knocking a week or so later (when it got cold out) so I backed it off. This is where I noticed the adjustment. If you tighten the bolt down just enough so that you can move the sensor clockwise and counterclockwise without it wiggling, you will notice the adjustment. Just put it in and advance it as much as you can (clockwise) and use this as a base line. I noticed a good amount of power from it. My tires actually chirped into second gear. It is a nice deal. Good luck and post us if you have any questions..

Jake

thanks guys- where rokktech put the small amount of blue paint on the sensor- you can faintly see a spot where alittle ( i mean alittle!) of the plastic was "shaved off".

Yeah, you can not retard it past stock config... The install only takes a few minutes.... You should grab some hand warmers and get to it....It is a really good mod... Anyway, happy install...
