I do not want all the timing rattle everybody keeps talkinf about. That will defiantly hurt a motor.

Okay, I'm rereading the previous posts of different settings and stuff, but was just wondering if there were in written instructions for the TNT-R?

Just trying to get my ducks in a row for Sat mornings dyno.

I dynoed with the Revo yesterday. I was not able to maintain traction so numbers were down.
Catcher #3
Rail pressure 1
TM 1
640/1495

Any high settings number would drop.

Once the rpms come up the engine performs very smooth. Between 2k-2400 I have a bit of a surge caused by fuel. Not sure what yet but it does go away with out the Smarty.
Overall I think its a good tune and with the options it makes it much more diversified.

If all goes well I will hit a larger dyno single drum late next week and go full guns.

Based on some data readings Rail pressure 3 produces 23-26k @ WOT....#9

I think it's as fast (level 7) if not faster than beta 4.4 (level 9), smoother, more linear throttle, touch more smoke at cruise, boosts a little slower (think less pressure on 3 vs. 4.4), egt's are a touch higher at normal accel (think becasue the boost doesnt ramp as fast)....all in all, great software and a great replacement for 4.4 (which was my favorite of all S06 software)

My only thoughts:

- Better understanding of the timing levels
- and based on this, maybe a bit less timing on 4 (lots of rattle)
- Maybe a touch faster pressure ramp on 3 (or set 3 to the 4.4 pressure settings)

Great Stuff, excellent effort....MADS Rocks
I agree, #4 rattles the heck out of my motor too.

maby im confused....

Injection Timing : Four levels.
# 1 ; Stock.
# 2 ; “Stock injectors”. ( Default )
# 3 ; “Aftermarket Injectors”.
# 4 ; “Less timing advance than “Aftermarket injectors”.

so the higher the timing # the less there shuld be corect?

id like to experiance it for my sellf so i can add my input, i have the original tnt-r / non revo version with the 600 presure map loaded and think that #7 drives better than #5 does.. ie: 5 is touchier....

i think Bob and Marco are redoing the timing settings tho.

640?? those numbers seem really low?? Those were with your flux 4.3's? How was the graph in the upper Rpms? Like 3500-4000? Can you post your dyno graph? Seems like your numbers should be at least in the 700's?? Maybe you need a bigger turbo that one you have has to be getting hot.

How hard would it be to have the idle up a little bit? It was always a steady 750 before and now it dances 725-735. It may sound dumb but those 25 RPM really make my clutch rattle. It sounds like a 24v at the stop lights. If I unload the Smarty it goes right back to 750. Other than that... I am good.
If not, it is just one of those things that builds character.

A turbo bigger than that Super Dave? Don't think you're gonna find many bigger than that. He has some serious twins there. I would say his numbers look pretty good considering he was only running on level #3 AND having traction problems.

Mine rattled a little more than usual too on timing #4. I changed it to the default timing (#0) and the rattle is pretty much gone.

Kman, a little rattle doesn't necessarily mean you have a dangerous amount of timing. When you were running too much timing with the BD and Edge it must not of been rattling all that bad because you kept running it until the motor popped.

Believe i saw that Marco was tweaking the timing maps...earlier or on another post....

i don't want to add to the confusion, or prove i'm a moron, but a general timing question:

Do aftermarket injectors need more or less timing? I always thought the "aftermarket injectors" software had less timing added than the "standard injectors" programs...which is it?

Do you have the Di Pricol gauge? I've been having the same problem. My stock pump would dip just a little then come back up. The stage 2 I have on now dips to about 15000 and almost never catches up. I have seen 22,000 once and that's it. No higher. I think the gauge is suspect as my idle psi has been as low as 4800 and as high as 7500. This is with 4.11 moderate TM, #7

I have no timing rattle on any default SMARTY sw...ever. I am not sure why there are so many trucks that do?

I used to run 6 degrees over the top of the 2.11b , 2.10b, Betas, and the older stuff.

Must be a pian in the **** dealing with all of this...lol.

New impressions with the revised 03-04 tune. TM-4, RP-4, Timing-2. Seems better, but I still think the 04.5 tune felt stronger in the lower RPMs. Could be the rail pressure that hung out at 20k so at cruise speed you had a lot of "snap" Prob not good for the old injectors though...

Yeah, it might have been ok for power, but I sure didn't like cruising around at 20000psi! Are you having any tranny down shifting issues at WOT?
