resistor/diode boost fooling INFO NEEDED!!!!

i have read and searched and so on and i am getting lots of info, but it all seems to end RIGHT BEFORE THE REAL DETAILS OF WHAT TO CUT/HOOKUP/USE! sooo...i know theres a million posts about all this, but does and has ANYONE made a jumper wire using either a 33ohm resistor or 3.9-4.5v zener diode to help with the ECM defueling. ive found info on a way to fix the de fueling ONLY at low rpms, but am having trouble finding more specifics on the zener application. thanks

For now just hookup (T it in) the zener to the LB/WT wire coming out of the MAP sensor connector. The other end of the zener tie to ground.

Be a little careful clamping the MAP sensor. You can increase the load significantly and cause MAP sensor failure. You can do it you should just know the risks.

Yep, that's why there's should be a current limiting resistor and or having a seperate 5v supply as a pull up.

As cheap as these are:

I have no idea why anyone would want to hack up the stock wiring harness and take any risks? Not to mention it takes about 10 seconds to plug it in.

You guys should shop around as I know you can find the boost foolers already made for a very reasonable price!

No offence to me and if there is anything I can do to help I will. I am all for DIY type mods and this is one that you can do and it works but, you need to know the risks involved. This is why we produced this part. Believe me it is not going to make anyone rich at the prices you can buy them for! We did it simply because we saw the need for it and it is a convenience item for many people needing this type of modification. Since it was pretty easy for us to do this we did it the right way and made it affordable!

We use a high impedance amplifier and then modify the signal so as to never put a load on the sensor itself. What the mod you are talking about doing simply just clamps the sensor itself which will put extra strain on the sensor.

So it is not bad to do just hard for the DIY'r to do right because you actually need circuitry to do it right.

i wired in the zener and with the wastegate line closed off, i hit 37psi at WOT with no code, so i guess it works. now im curious about the resistor mod. seems to be a 33-30ohm resistor in between the 5v line and boost signal line is what a few ppl have run with good results. thanks for all the help guys
