Reputable Boise Tranny Shop?
Reputable Boise Tranny Shop?
Anyone here on the forum know of a reputable transmission shop in the Boise area? I've had Economy Transmission do some work on a couple of vehicles in the past and I think they've done a good job. But if there's a more diesel-specific shop that anyone's aware of, I'd like to hear it.
I'm looking to *finally* have my stock TQ swapped for better towing/hauling performance. Will probably do the VB while they're in there. No other performance upgrades to either the tranny or the engine are planned. I don't plan on racing the truck or towing extreme loads. I'm simply trying to prep it for a slide-in truck camper which I hope to be purchasing in the next 6 months or so. I'm very happy with the power the truck puts to the ground once the TQ locks up. But when it's not locked, I feel there is an unacceptable amount of power being lost to the slip. Thanks.

That is 3 for Pat at Big Twin Diesel. Give him a call. He has his tranny holding all sorts of big power. I think he has tried a lot of different set-ups to finally figure out what works best.
