Report from the Dragstrip
Well this weekend we went up to Little river dragway near Temple. We met Fire rescue124 (Erick) and TCR (Tom) and some of their buddies in Round Rock and headed up to the track. My first time racing on the track, but I was happy with the results.
Best E.T. :
14.02
94 mph
reaction: .13
60ft: 1.98
1/8 mile: 8.94 @ 76.14mph
Smarty on 9-tq4/timing0/RP4/wastegate off
MP-8 100% (flame suit on)!
Had a great time, some good folks on this forum.

I tried a few different combo's. Had smarty on rp4 and mp-8 50%, got slower times. I also tried sw 7 and ran in the same area. I made six runs:
14.61 sw7 mp-8 50% (truck was hot)
14.46 sw9 mp-8 50% first run horrible reaction time
14.30
14.193rd run
14.21 2nd run
14.02 last run
I never drained the rail or had popping. This is on stock fuel, sticks, turbo, cp3 etc.

Gives me hope...i only have 34" tires, and have the DTT Trans, Smarty TnT, intake and exhaust plus an AD150....suppose i should be in the low 14's as well (guess it matters how much that mp-8 is helping)....finally going to take it to the track when it cools down here in AZ.
Good run, thanks for sharing.

I run the same times as you and I did not think I was draining the rail either, but i just put a rail guage in and with the TNT I don't get any popping but the rail drops to 10000 and does not recover, i am lucky to be back up to 14000 by 100mph, and this is with a II bag of parts. I am going to duel cp3's as soon as I can get the funds together. Nice times by the way, very impressive for all the stock components. I have a few more mods and I still didn't crack 13's yet.

That is the strange thing. I was doing boosted launches in 4wd, and nobody got me off the line. But they started to catch up and did, in the case of the mustang GT at the finish line. And my top speeds through the 1/4 did not vary too much, from 93-95. I am wondering now if I should have put it in tow/haul..Hell I don't know

WHich ones are you going with, I'm on the fence on whether to go all out(with larger turbo) or just get some 90s-100s?

Going to the track has made me rethink what I am looking to accomplish with the truck. I was thinking strictly along the lines of a ton of horsepower to go fast. But dang, I was nearly in the 13's with 37's and electronics. So, If I spring for Nathan's twins (stocker on top) some flux 2's (not really very knowledgeable in that area) and a stage II cp3 or maybe twins, and a fuel delivery system, will that put me in the 12's? That is as fast as I want to go. I was planning on the twins and sticks next month (nov) and figure I can manage an airdog this month. I need a RP gauge, I have no idea how low it went during that wot run. My temps were high as hades though. Now let me see if I can stay married! The wife is bugging me for mods to her wrangler now.
Are you going to Houston for the dhra nationals? I am going to make reservations this week. I am going to sit and watch however.
