I have an '06 with BD tow twins. Stock injectors, stock CP3. I need have my AC compressor replaced. Would now be a handy time to upgrade my intercooler, or is it easy to do without removing the condenser?

Thinking of going with the BD unit.

The intercooler is easy to replace anytime, If I were you
before I spent money on a intercooler, I would spend it
on EFI programing for my truck. It would be money better spent.

With just BD tow twins, your stock intercooler is effective enough and the difference you would see, if any at all, is not worth the $$ spent.

To answer your question though, it takes less than an hour to do, even with beer, and the condenser just swings to the side enough to do the R/R.

If you really want an intercooler though, do some research... you can find better. Also check out a current thread in this forum with the poor guy that is having issues with his BD intercooler and them standing behind it. He runs BD tow twins too.

After reading that thread, no BD intercooler for me... I just don't need one anyway.
