Hey everyone,

How heavy should the spray be to reoil an AFE PG7 air filter. I know not to overoil it but how do I know how much is sufficient.

Also is the filter supposed to come squeeky clean b/c mine didn't I cleaned it twice by the directions today and it's free of debree but is still black and oily.

any comments would help

Whenever I cleaned mine it came very clean. You may want to try leaving the cleaner on it a little longer before hosing it off. The directions say to spray the water from the clean mesh side but I always spray on the dirty side.
As far as the oiling, I just spray enough to cover the whole filter and let it sit a while. I then check to see if there are any light spots and I just do some "Touch-up" oiling. I use a K&N recharger kit which is red so it may be easier to tell if you've got good coverage than if you're using the yellow AFE stuff.. I just try to use as little as possible but still have full coverage. Too much oil and you'll get some restriction.....
