Remote Start Gone Bad Need Input

Ok, finally bit the bullet after two years of putting it off. I went and had a remote start installed. Just a plain jane start system. My wife picked it up, The indicatore light that tells which gear you are in only works when in park, does not highlight any gears. "Thru a code of po850, which is a park neutral switch input circut" I cleared it, hoping for the best. The cruise doesn't work, 4 low wont engage, and the worst my torque converter wont lock up. was runnin at 20lbs of boost to go 70-75.. So if anyone has any input about the situation I would really appreciate it..

I hate to say it, but for this very reason is why I never take any of my trucks to have work done, that is why I was putting it off for 2 yrs. And of course there is issues.. I am taking it there tomorrow morning. But they were already like, "oh what we did shouldn't affect anything like that..bla..bla" But the funny thing is I haven't had an issue really with my truck in 54K.. Other than a long crank issue that I need to resolve next. But that is a different Thread!! Thanks guys

I had the same problem/ nightmare last month
i had a local shop swap out the remote from my lease turn in to my 06 5.9 and I had the same (exact symptoms)
3 times back to that shop and 2 times to the dealer not knowning what the cause was.

i had another remote start shop just start over and they are very experianced they did scratch there head awile to get it to work without the same symptoms you have.

First thing check that the box indicator is showing what gear you are in that is the easy way to know it is installed right before you drive off.

I do not remember the name of the shop that resolved the problem I have there card at work i can look it up if you like they are located on Ritchardson road at Green lake rd. West Bloomfield Mich

Well, ya if you could foward over the number I would appreciate it. I took it to a pretty well known shop too. They have like 10 bays, well I'll be there at 9 am to help figure it out. I won't be sitting in the waiting room thats for sure.

Thanks for the replies, they got it figured out. The start wire in the cloum needed to be powerd with a relay from the interface module. It was backfeeding the current throught the system once started!!
