Can I use my Smarty to recalibrate another truck for his larger tires with my Smarty while it is programmed to my truck? Or is it VIN locked to my truck even for that? What about code reading another truck also?

 

I am pretty sure I remember reading elsewhere that the Smarty is not VIN locked for code reading and clearing. That is one of their selling points, that you are not only getting a downloader for your truck but also an OBDII code reader and clearer for any vehicle that has an OBDII port. As far as tire size changes, I would be willing to bet it is VIN locked, as it requires accessing the ECM in order to change the parameters. I could be wrong, though.
