Rear Wheelhouse Liners

I want to install these rear liners to contain the salt and mud. Does anyone have these and do they make matters worse for rust issues? Also do the fill the entire area over the wheel?

I am concerned about keeping the Rooster tail from the treads in the wheelhousing. There is only an OEM shield on the front of the rear wheel well but not the back. I believe it needs to be removed??? I am also concerned if it meets the quarter panel lip too tight it will harbor the salt/mud.

I have never had any problems with mud staying up there. where it meets the quarter panel it just floats there so not to much chance of it traping stuff in there. but i do know how salt is. it gets everywhere.

I have them on my truck and they work very well. I have not seen dirt being trapped by the lip, the lip is not a very tight seal to the quarter so dirt is able to escape. I usually pull mine out every couple months and wash the inside of the bed and have noticed only small amounts of salt splatter and dirt getting past them.

I had them on my 2003 and had the dealer take them off the 03 and install them on my 2007 when I bought it. They work great. The wheel wells on the 03 looked like new when the liners were removed. I also live in the rust belt.
