I am not sure how you could get a beefier bumper and keep the 12k capacity of the stock hitch. It was not a big deal for me because the only things I tow from the receiver hitch is my 16' flat bed trailer and my Bronco for hunting. There must be something out there.

nonford, if you're looking for one stout rear bumper, take a look at Reunel Extreme Bumpers . It has a 20,000 lb rating, a 6000 lb tongue weight, and attaches directly to the frame. Its standard receiver is bolted under the bumper using 2 gigantic bolts, but you have the option to have the receiver welded onto the bumper. Among available options are a stainless steel skin, and holes for backup lights. Weight is around 170 lbs. Their front bumpers are off-the-hook, weighing nearly 400 lbs, and feature brush guards made of solid bar stock.

Thanks, but man, I find it hard to drop 1k on a rear bumper or close to it. I did the look, fell, touch and smell on all of them. For the money, I think the Ranch Hand is worth it. Plus, I bang these darn things around and I don't need a pretty bumper, because it won't look too pretty when I am running around the ranch with it.

I like the www.toughcountry.com/dodge bumper. it is still light enough to not drop the front end, and yes, even with the KORE, and heavy diesel coils, it works great.

I getting the Cowboy 10" drop. I to was worried about the cap. at first but then I

looked at what I pull, nothing that heavy is ever on the bumper. All my heavy hauling

is done with the gooseneck in the bed. All the bumper ever sees is the boat, 4-wheeler, Kubota Rtv & other light stuff.

Must of been my lucky day today. Was going to get the 8" and they showed me a 10" w/lights and pointed out to a few scuffs on it. Nothing major. They said they will touch it up for a price of 337 that included install. Needless to say, I got a 10" drop down Ranch Hand. I like the look.
