Raced a stock 07 Duramax today, and ate him alive. He was talking mad crap about how he could smoke me no matter what setting I was on. So I left my edge on 1, which made us about equal on hp and tq, and I left him at the line. I would hate to see what would happen if I actually put her on 5 and let it rip. I wonder how far behind he really would be.

 

Why dont you give it a shot. Tell him you were just kidding and had set your box on 5 the first time and this time you'll put it back on 1. And then come back and tell us how bad it was.

I drove a 2006 Duramax/Allison truck. I'll admit that I liked it... Not as much as my Cummins though. IF Dodge wasn't running with Cummins, I would be driving a Dmax.

 

Thats awsome!! Has anyone raced a stock Cummins against a dmax yet? I don't need to ask about the fords, i think everyone knows what would happen.

 

I saw a stock 06 Dmax LBZ motor lay down 309hp and 500 and change torque, pretty decent for just coming of the assembly line with less then 5K miles on it

 

When i raced my buddies 6.0 (06 CC SB 4x4 auto) beat my truck bye half a truck length when we were both stock with exhuast....not the case anymore

 

that's awesome. Hate to say it though all he needs is EFI Live and the match results will likely do a 180

 

I rode in a wrecker with a Dmax tonight, my 2003 DR was on the rollback. That truck hauled butt! Makes me wonder...

Head to head, stock to stock, our cummins will lose to both the duramax and the 6.0,,,,, but do a small mod,, and different story

Its sad but its true. My company truck is a 06 stock 4dr short box lbz, and as much as i hate to say it, it would eat my dodges lunch stock to stock, all day long 7 days a week. All dmaxs have to bo is beef up the allison a little, throw dual cps on, xcelerator, and they have a 12 second pickup. I havent got beat yet but Ive had some a little closer then i would of liked.

 

I have a Duramax as well and I do not like it. I want to get rid of it and get another Cummins but I haven't found the right truck yet. The selection sucks here for Dodges.

 

My Stock Dmax smokes my stock cummins by a great deal...i'm sure it's a lot of the dodge tranny's fault....the Cummins just doesn't get off the line fast enough - by the time i started to move with the dodge my wife was already gone in the dmax.

 

My in-tank retrofit pump died after 3110 miles!
