(qzilla) Getting code p0111 on 06

Have had my check engine light coming on and off for a while now. Checked the code today and it says it is an intake air temp sensor 1 performance. I have no idea what that is. Could my xzt box throw that code or just a bad sensor? Thanks, jim

does the CEL come on with the box unpluged?

give it a shot, it's a quick and easy check, if the light still comes on without the zxt, then it's just a bad sensor.

I bet its not box related.

Probably the battery temp sensor and ambient air temp sensor rationality check for OBDII compliance.

Does it only happen after the vehicle sits for awhile (over 6 hours)?

Take the box out, clear the codes, make it happen again, and take it in to the dealer. There will probably be an ECM reflash for it.

No real set time that it comes and goes. Have a new sensor coming. Luckily we are a dealer. My guys didn't mind that the box was there. Jim

have you changed the air filter, put on a torque tube, did a silencer ring mod lately. If you forget to plug in the sensor or it comes unplugged, the CEL will come on.

None of the above. Right now I am thinking it is just a bad sensor. Dodgezilla thanks for your help. Jim
