quick Quad smoke switch question
quick Quad smoke switch question
alright I am suppost to jump the dark blue wire with teh red one, but someone said they are right beside each other? I see the blue wire on the map sensor and the red wire on the fuel sensor, are those the right wires?
I would not do it that way. I mentioned how to do it here:
https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...=127997&page=2
You want to take the 5v reference off of the MAP sensor not from the rail sensor.
So in short find the dark blue wire which is PIN D. Jump this to the wire right beside it which is PIN C. Pin C is a black wire on our wiring harness.
You have to do this on our wiring harness on the side that plugs into the factory sensor.

Thanks for your help, I ran the wires last night, but didn't tap them, after class may be i can blow some smoke!!! It only puffs out a moderate amount of dark brow smoke right now, i guess my set up is good? I have a BHAF with no baffles or sliencer, and a straight pipe (no cat or muffler) along with the exhilarator STD box, what shoudl be my next upgrade? I don't want to tear up my trans....besides the added longetivity to the injector pump, what advantage is there to a lift pump?If my trans ever breaks I will have it fixed right, but for now I odn't wanna spend the $$$$
