Question for Quad
I took my XZT out so dealer could do some warranty work. Before I took it out I would see 36-40#'s of boost anytime I was at WOT. I left the XZT out for appx 3 months then put it back in. No engine or reflash work done to truck at this visit, (Jeremy did a reflash of the module and sent a new harness appx 6 mo. ago), they put a steering box, new rear leaf springs and a transmission pressure sensor in. Now with the XZT back in the truck It will only make 25 psi max boost. I bypass the module and get 20-22psi max. Power seems the same in stock form and pretty close to what it was prior with the module hooked up. The truck is recently serviced, new air, oil, and fuel filters. The engine is also "nailing" with a rapid release of the throttle from wot. It aslo sounds like there is a bag of marbles bouncing around in there, sounds like a timing rattle only much worse. I bypass the module and the timing rattle seems reduced but not gone, same for the nailing sound. the timing noise is most pronounced at light cruising throttle pressure, about 1,800- 2,200 rpm range.
Thanks,
Tim
