Question on Edge EZ and RPM's

So I got my truck back from the *********** after having a new tranny cooler and lines put in due to a leak in the old stuff. Put the Edge EZ that MikeyB generously hooked me up with after my other one failed the test at Edge and was deemed no good. My issue is that when going from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd when under hard acceleration the RPM's go up to like 3400, but the redline on the tach is at 3200. After noticing this the first time Ive been just stayin outta it, but I need to know if I need to take care of any ricers or anything what the deal is if anyone has any idea.

Thanks for any help

Wes

Yeah, it seems worse in the summer. Also, if you get the engine up to operating temp and then park it for a few minutes and then go to driving again with a healthy dose of throttle it will do it in the warm weather. There's also a 'hiccup' that shows up in warm temps when you stand on it going down the road in the higher gears but that, also, seems to go away with winter air temps. Every EZ owner around here has had the same issues. Anyone got an 'in' with Edge? Maybe they can give a reason for these glitches.

Yep, that's normal. Fast hard fueling and the increase in rail pressure will overshoot.
Don't worry, I'm see 3,500 rpms with the SMARTY.
