Does the A2 from Edge mean Attitude 2 as in their second generation? I like the fact that it has the gauges built in and EGT and boost warnings can be programmed. Would getting the programming be a good first step for my '06 MC 3500 DRW 6-speed or is there a better one given that I plan on ending up with a heavily modified rig?

yeah sure you can always upgrade to the HOT juice later. If you are really wanting to run high HP you'll probably end up with a TST eventually. the A2 includes award winning TomTom GPS on it too. tons of nice features. I've ordered one and its at my DTT installer's shop. as soon as we get the tranny parts in, the Juice/A2, AFE stage 2 with pro guard 7, FASS 150gph, and DTT tranny internals with an billet input shaft are going on my truck.
I personally dont like the A2...its big, its bulky and it mounts on the dash some how. The biggest thing for the A2 was the navigation...but you have it already so whats the point. The A2 is the Juice with attitude with navigation and a backup camera for $1000 more. For $1000, get you a set of injectors
I currently run the a2 with the hot juice. It is convenient. I should note to you that most guys are pushing me to go with the tst as i Build power. i just had a full billet DTT installed over the weekend and now i am looking into the fuel system and twin turbos (goal of 700-750hp) Just about all i have talked to for some planning have suggested the tst over the hot juice. I really like the tomtom and the gauges save you form some work and clttering up your truck. By the time yur done with mods though you are going to need even more guages (tranny temp, fuel, rail pressure, and the list seems to go on). I went with the edge product for the simple fact of safety. It seems to be the safest box for the truck. Also at the time i didnt want to play with the warranty and as I understood it, the egde is not detectable when it is removed.

That's also good to know about the warranty.

The A2 is great! The Tom Tom is awesome! I installed one on a 6.0L in Jan of this year before DPP. Gauges are a bit hard to read and its pricey (Lil under 2K)......other than that.....its sweet......
Be careful buying Edge off eBay. I know Edge watches that stuff pretty close and doesnt like their stuff on there.......Might hurt wnty chances.......but that was a year ago this was going on......who knows today with the take over and all.
