programmers like smarty or bully dog has a speedo correct- there are also some programmers that just do the speedo adjust for under $200.

does he have to go back to the dealer since they've already changed it once? does the dealer adjust not let you use a programmer anymore?

so once the dealer adjusts, you can't use your programmer to change sizes until the dealer returns your speedo to factory?

No.....you don't HAVE to go back to the dealer, but I believe most of the other programers are only good for one truck. Even if you only change tire size, that is the only truck you can have it on at that time. I could be wrong though. Maybe since you want to go back to stock, you can use a programmer to change the tire size once, then go back to stock and remove it. Worth a try if you have a friend that has one!?

nope- you're right. one programmer, one truck, one tire adjustment. it reads the truck by vin, so it would read as a vin mis-match.

I would have the dealer or someone with DRBIII access make the ABS "Pinion Factor" changes. My dealer is pretty good about this, did it free twice and charged me 1/2 hour tech time once ($37.50).

The programmers that will adjust the ECM ABS for correct tire size must be loaded on the vehicle. This will work as long as you keep it loaded. If you want to remove it for some reason they put back the value that was in the ECM when loaded.

I like mine to be correct with or without a programmer loaded. Just my .02.
